Kitchell leadership presenting at industry conference

Kitchell CEM leaders are moderating three panels at this spring’s Western Winter Workshop.

President Wendy Cohen will moderate a discussion at the 61st Annual Western Winter Workshop on “The Role of Public Works Infrastructure in Economic Recovery Post COVID-19.” This ever-evolving topic includes leaders at the forefront of this conversation: Anthony Nyivih, Deputy Director, Construction Manager, Los Angeles County Public Works; Todd Bofinger, West Region Director of Project Delivery, The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, The Office of Construction and Facilities Mgmt.; and Mike Meredith, Capital Outlay Program Manager, California Department of General Services.

Kitchell CEM Executive Director Sarah Bjorkman will moderate “Building Technologically Advanced Behavioral Health Facilities” workshop. She will be joined by industry-leading panelists Chuck Coryell, Executive Director – Project Executive, MemorialCare Long Beach; Andrea Rufe, Principal, Healthcare, NBBJ; Alicia Ramos, Capital Projects Program Manager, Los Angeles County Public Works; and Kristin Hill, Director, Facilities Planning, University of California San Diego Health.

Regional Executive Geoff Bachanas will moderate a panel focusing on the Total Cost of Ownership with School Facilities Programs. Geoff will lead panelists including Director of Facilities at MiraCosta Community College District Tom Macias, Riverside Community College District Associate Vice Chancellor of Facilities Planning & Development Hussain Agah and Kitchell Engineering & Architecture Operations Manager Sergio Rodriguez.
