Arizona giant wants to be a major builder in Austin, other Texas markets

Kitchell Corp.- one of the largest construction companies in Arizona — has opened an Austin office with plans to make major headway in the Texas health care sector, as well as other contractor specialties.

Kitchell may quickly become a notable local player on Austin’s hot land development scene. It has the ability — and desire — to buy large tracts and develop them in-house. It’s also used to going head-to-head with major national contractors such as DPR Construction and Hunt Construction Group, both of which are major players in Austin.

Sprouts to open at Prescott Valley Crossroads

Sprouts Farmers Market is scheduled to open at the Prescott Valley Crossroads power center on June 4. The 27,994 SF Phoenix-based specialty follows the October 2013 opening of Dick’s Sporting Goods’ 35KSF store. Located 80 miles north of the Phoenix metropolitan area, the center sits on a premium location in Prescott Valley, along Highway 69.  Kitchell developed both the north and the south sides of the highway.
