In four weeks and one day, Santa Maria will have a brand new, state-of-the-art hospital when Marian Regional Medical opens its doors. The city will also have one of the most un-hospital like hospitals around. While the new $218 million facility will feature all of the latest medical and surgical equipment and systems, it resembles more of a four-star hotel than a hospital.

College Station Scott & White Hospital gave News 3 a sneak peek at what many of its hospital rooms will look like. Kitchell will be continuously building two additional rooms until a sample of a room in each patient area has been completed and reviewed by staff.
