Kitchell hires new operations manager for its southern California region

Kitchell construction and program management firm has hired Dave Roach as its new operations manager for the Southern California region.

“Dave’s experience is right in our wheelhouse,” said Kitchell CEM President Russ Fox. “He has a tremendous resumé that includes school program management, justice and major government projects, which will be great leverage as we work with more education and public-sector clients in Southern California.”

Roach, a retired U.S. Navy captain, was most recently an operations manager overseeing an average portfolio of 20 projects for a large commercial contractor in San Diego County. He was also responsible for budget and subcontract management of construction programs for schools and corrections facilities.

Prior to this he was the deputy director of architecture and engineering with the San Diego County Department of General Services. He has been involved in several noteworthy projects throughout his construction career, including The Wounded Warrior Battalion at Camp Pendleton, which was the Navy’s first U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Platinum project.
