Parcland Crossing wins prestigious multihousing award

The successful collaboration of Kitchell and Mark-Taylor – Parcland Crossing in Chandler, Ariz. – was recently honored with the prestigious Developer’s Award at the Arizona Multihousing Association’s Tribute Awards event.

The Developer’s Award honors the best new community developed between 2011 and 2012. With 383 units, Parcland Crossing was built at a pivotal time in Arizona real estate, as one of the first new large-scale, luxury rental communities to come online in more than two years. Parcland Crossing has surpassed occupancy goals and is anticipated to reach 90 percent-plus occupancy just 12 months after opening in July 2012.

Berkeley North Branch Library achieves recognition from AIA San Francisco

The Berkeley North Branch Library project, for which Kitchell served as project manager, was recently recognized by the American Institute of Architects – San Francisco chapter with a Merit Award for Historic Preservation. The publicly funded project preserved, expanded, and updated the City of Berkeley’s beloved 1936 North Branch Library on The Alameda.
